Simon is Circulate Capital’s Investment Advisor, LATAM.


In his role of investment advisor, Simon is responsible for market landscaping, identifying opportunities for investment and building relationships with companies in the plastic recycling and waste management sectors, and investors for Latin America.
 

Simon brings with him over 16 years of international experience in the financial sector and strategy consultancy. He helped to develop and implement policies and strategies for investors, development finance institutions and companies throughout all aspects of the investment cycle. He has been part of refining a fund with best practice processes and procedures. He conducted several due diligences in the private equity space and managed investee improvement programs. Also, he helped to develop the FinTech ecosystem in a developing economy through policy advocation to the regulator, investment thesis formulation for private sector actors and hands-on management support to promising companies. Recently, he conducted a plastic recycling assessment in Brazil and supported several start-ups with investment readiness acceleration. 
 

He is passionate about identifying developing market opportunities for sophisticated investors and subsequently providing strategic and operational support to investees to spur growth, create local employment and incentivize a sustainable interaction with the environment in building a circular economy.
 

Simon was with the Boston Consulting Group in Switzerland and Nigeria, where he was active in the Principal Investors & Private Equity, and Public Sector practice. Prior, he spent time at the Global Environment Fund (GEF) in Johannesburg, South Africa, at Citibank in London, and the Zurich Insurance Group. He brings with him in-country experience in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, UK, US, Middle East, South Africa, eSwatini, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Nigeria and Brazil.
Simon received a Master in Environmental Sciences of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich, Switzerland and holds an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona, Spain.
