Mike is Circulate Capital’s Director of Finance and Operations, helping to expand the firm’s operations into Latin America and the USA.

Mike has nearly 20 years of experience in impact focused investing, finance and operations in Latin America, Asia and the USA.  He is passionate about achieving operational excellence within organizations as a means to creating social and environmental impact.

For the last 5 years,  Mike has been working closely with impact entrepreneurs to build the financial and operational capacity needed  to grow their businesses. Most recently, Mike served as Director of Finance & Business Administration at The Justice Collective, where he led finance, operations, and human resources to establish a strong foundation needed to rapidly scale its Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Consulting and Training services.

Prior to The Justice Collective, Mike served as a consulting CFO at SoProCFO, where he helped mission-driven enterprises achieve growth and impact through financial analysis, strategic planning and securing capital from investors.

Previous to his finance and operations work, Mike spent a decade in impact investing with the Grameen Foundation and RSF Social Finance.  At RSF, Mike managed the Ecological Stewardship portfolio and led all aspects of debt financing to high-impact enterprises. At the Grameen Foundation, Mike led deployment of guarantees and direct financing to microfinance institutions and other base-of-the pyramid businesses in Latin America and Asia.

Earlier in his career, Mike gained valuable transaction and capital markets experience as a financial analyst with Bank of America’s investment banking subsidiary.

Mike received his MBA from Thunderbird, Global School of Management where he studied finance and entrepreneurship.  He received his undergraduate degree in Latin American & Iberian Studies from Vanderbilt University.
