Corine was born in 1973, Dutch by birth, married, and a mum of four. She graduated from Amsterdam University with a Master in Econometrics. She has worked and lived for more than 20 years in Asia a region she loves as the role that businesses can have to improve health of people and planet is huge.
Since November 1st 2022 she is the Senior Vice President for Royal Friesland Campina for Asia Pacific. Before that she worked in Danone and Unilever, her last role in Danone being the President for AMEA – Asia, the Middle East, Africa and a member of the Executive Committee. Corine sits on the investment committee of Circulate Capital, an impact investment fund based out of Singapore and advises several environmental entrepreneurs and young changemakers in the region. Being a long-term resident of Bali, Indonesia, and having deep passion and understanding of the circular economy and challenges in the plastic waste management ecosystem, she has close connections with many of the environmental entrepreneurs and organisations as their advisor and finding ways to connect them with large organisations to increase their impact.
In 2017, she won the “Best Green CEO” at the Social Business Innovation Award for her leadership in pioneering the cross-section of environmentalism and the business industry in Indonesia. Her strong passion for the environment has made her an influential speaker who actively addresses the sustainability agenda on various occasions regionally and globally.
Besides her leadership roles in business, she is also a competing equestrian, runner, and scuba diver and loves doing these activities with her husband and 4 children.
