As Chair, Nick Moon helps drive the firm’s fundraising initiatives and plays a key role in Circulate’s strategic development and institutional strengthening.
With over two decades of experience in private equity, specializing in fundraising and strategic growth initiatives, Nick most recently served as a Partner at LeapFrog Investments. During his decade-long tenure, he led multiple successful fundraisings, expanding the firm’s assets from $135 million to over $2 billion. Over this time, LeapFrog’s investor base grew from 12 to over 100 institutional investors across the US, Europe, Asia, and Australia, including pension funds, insurers, asset managers, family offices, and development banks.
Nick played a key role in diversifying LeapFrog’s offerings, notably co-developing a $350 million separate account with Prudential Financial for investments in sub-Saharan Africa focusing on financial inclusion. He also co-led a pioneering $500 million strategic LP-GP partnership with Temasek, a leading Sovereign Wealth Fund, aimed at impact investing. Nick was also a member of the Partner Executive Committee.
An expert in impact investment measurement and communication, Nick was selected as a Founding Member of the World Bank’s Operating Principles for Impact, the leading framework for investors to ensure that Impact is purposely integrated and measured throughout the investment cycle, overseeing Board design of governance structure, business planning and investor outreach program.
Nick holds Non-Executive Director roles at a $3 billion National Investment Bank focused on Climate, Innovation, and Regeneration, where he also serves on the Investment Committee. He was also a Non-Executive Director with the asset management company of a pan-India Financial Inclusion Company, which has facilitated access to $10 billion of debt for under-banked individuals and businesses in India.
Nick earned his Executive MBA from Imperial College Business School, where he specialized in Advanced Strategy, Leadership, and Private Equity (distinction)
